Sky Farm Island
The first sustainability game on Roblox, teaching young players about healthy eating, food security, and sustainable farming practices through interactive gameplay.
Strategy. Concept. Community Building. Content Creation.
Sky Farm Island is a groundbreaking sustainability game on Roblox, designed to teach kids about healthy eating and food security in an engaging, interactive way. As part of the UN’s Playing for the Planet initiative, we launched a global campaign to create a community around urban farming. The goal is to equip urban farmers with tools to engage young audiences both online and offline, helping them amplify their sustainability impact.

"Working with not so creative on Sky Farm Island was a brilliant experience. Our challenge was to engage young people in on the topic of food security and build awareness through gaming—a daunting task, but one that the team tackled with unparalleled creativity and passion. Thanks to their innovative strategies and storytelling, we built a global urban farming community across 12 countries and sparked meaningful conversations on the future of food.
We reached tens of thousands of players with the message of turning small actions during gameplay into real world impact, inspiring them to grow and eat their greens for healthier hearts and a healthier planet. Their work helped propel Sky Farm Island to be a finalist at the Green Game Jam Awards by the UN’s Playing for the Planet, standing alongside global gaming giants, such as Zynga, Supercell and Tencent.
The team proved that creative strategy can achieve extraordinary impact, and we couldn’t have done it without them.”
Connecting Worlds through Gaming
While gaming and urban farming may seem like unrelated worlds, we saw the potential to use Sky Farm Island as a tool to bridge the gap and drive real-life impact. Our challenge was to raise awareness within the urban farming community and engage young people in sustainability topics in a way that would resonate through gaming.
We developed a concept that positioned Sky Farm Island as a unique platform for urban farmers to connect with younger audiences. By building a campaign around this, we created a global community of urban farmers, united in their mission to educate and inspire kids about sustainability and food security.
Real-world Impact
Through our efforts, we pioneered a global urban farming community spanning 23 farms across 12 countries, reaching more than 150 children. This community became a shared space for urban farmers to promote their work, exchange knowledge, and explore critical topics such as food security, water scarcity, food waste, and mental health.
